Kite Investigator-Sponsored Research

Kite’s Investigator-Sponsored Research (ISR) program supports scientifically meritorious proposals in its therapeutic areas. Applicants submit a concise online form, and approved studies receive drug supply, funding, or operational support under a formal agreement.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Organization Types: Clinics, universities, academic medical centers, cooperative groups, research institutes.

  • Excluded Applicants: Individual physicians or private-practice groups; Kite/Gilead employees; persons debarred or ineligible for healthcare programs.

  • Investigator Qualifications: Principal Investigator with a relevant advanced degree; for patient-involving studies, a valid medical license (or equivalent).

  • Site Capabilities: Adequate technical, operational, and logistical resources to conduct the study.

Submission Requirements & Process:

  1. Online Submission: Complete and submit the ISR proposal form via Kite’s portal, providing a short synopsis of your research. All fields must be filled before submission.

  2. Scientific Merit & Budget: Proposals must generate new medical knowledge; budgets must be reasonable and aligned to the work proposed.

  3. Review: Cross-functional Kite committees (Medical, Regulatory, Operations) review submissions on a regular schedule.

  4. Timeline: Expect feedback—approval, questions, or rejection—within one month of submission.

  5. Agreement & Execution: Approved studies require a written support agreement. Sponsors must adhere to protocol-development and contract-execution deadlines. Kite does not guarantee support for any proposal.
