
Murray Jackson Clinical Fellowship
The Murray Jackson Clinical Fellowship is the most prestigious award offered by the Cancer Research Trust New Zealand. It supports committed medical graduates pursuing clinical careers in oncology by enabling advanced training and research. The Fellowship is designed to nurture clinician researchers who will ultimately improve cancer care and outcomes in New Zealand.

Award Value: Up to one year of clinical salary, spread over 1–5 years

Focus: Clinical cancer specialties with at least 50% research component

Eligibility: New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who have completed specialist college training

Fields: Surgical oncology, medical oncology, haematology, radiation oncology, palliative care, cancer genetics, pathology, psychiatry, public health, and more

Host Institutions: Must support the Fellow’s research infrastructure; overseas and hybrid models are permitted
