
ASTRO-LUNGevity Residents / Fellows in Radiation Oncology Seed Grant
ASTRO and LUNGevity Foundation have opened applications for the 2025 Residents/Fellows in Radiation Oncology Seed Grant, a competitive funding opportunity to support early-career radiation oncology researchers conducting basic, translational, or clinical studies with the goal of improving outcomes for patients with lung cancer.
Who is eligible?
Applicants must:

Hold a doctoral degree (MD, DO, or PhD)

Be enrolled in a U.S.-based radiation oncology residency or fellowship at the time of application

Commit at least 75% of full-time professional effort to research during the grant term

Be a current ASTRO member or have a pending ASTRO membership application as of the submission deadline

$50,000 for 1 year

Funding must support lung cancer–focused research in radiation oncology

Research focus:
Projects may span basic science, translational, or clinical research in radiation oncology with the goal of improving diagnosis, treatment, or patient outcomes in lung cancer. This seed grant is intended to foster career development and generate data to support future independent grant applications.
