The AACR Special Conference in Cancer Research: Harnessing the Power of Next Generation Pathology for Cancer Research will take place on July 20–22, 2027, at Hyatt Regency Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Organized by the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) in association with its Pathology in Cancer Research Working Group, the meeting will bring together pathologists, oncologists, cancer researchers and technology experts.

The three-day conference will explore advances in digital pathology, artificial intelligence, spatial biology, next-generation sequencing and multi-omics technologies. Discussions will examine how these innovations contribute to cancer diagnosis, biomarker discovery, treatment response assessment and precision oncology.

Through scientific presentations and interdisciplinary discussions, participants will address challenges in implementing emerging pathology technologies, including standardization, data management and clinical validation, while exploring opportunities to improve cancer research and patient care.
