AACR – Cancer Dormancy and Residual Disease 2027

The AACR Special Conference in Cancer Research: Cancer Dormancy and Residual Disease will take place on July 15–18, 2027, at Delta Hotels Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Organized by the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), the meeting will bring together basic scientists, clinical investigators, and translational researchers to discuss the biological mechanisms of cancer dormancy and metastatic recurrence.
The four-day conference will focus on disseminated cancer cells, minimal residual disease, tumor cell persistence, and the mechanisms that allow dormant cells to evade immune surveillance and resist treatment. Discussions will also explore how tissue-specific microenvironments, metabolic regulation, and genetic evolution influence cancer cell reactivation.
Through keynote lectures, scientific presentations, and poster sessions, the meeting aims to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and advance research into new strategies for detecting, targeting, and eliminating dormant cancer cells before metastatic relapse occurs.
