The Cancer Biomarkers Branch (CBB) Day, organized by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Division of Cancer Prevention, will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM ET at the National Cancer Institute – Shady Grove in Rockville, Maryland.

The gathering will bring together members of the cancer biomarker research community to reflect on progress in the discovery, development, and validation of biomarkers for cancer early detection, risk prediction, and prevention, while also looking toward future opportunities in the field.

The NCI Cancer Biomarkers programme supports major collaborative initiatives including the Early Detection Research Network (EDRN), Liquid Biopsy Consortium, Pancreatic Cancer Detection Consortium, Consortium for Imaging and Biomarkers, and Pre-Cancer Atlas.
