“Time flies, and sometimes it brings you back to the same place, but in a different role.
EUREP is more than a course. It is the flagship educational programme of the European School of Urology, bringing together final-year residents to learn, discuss, challenge ideas and grow together.
12 years ago, I attended EUREP as a resident. This days, I had the privilege of returning as faculty in the Prostate Cancer module, and PCa itself is a perfect reminder of how much can change in 12 years.
Our understanding of the disease, the way we diagnose it, the role of imaging, treatment selection, systemic therapies and shared decision-making have evolved enormously.
What we teach today is different from what I was learning as a resident, and that is what makes continuous education important.
Beyond the professional journey, this moment also reminds me how much the European Association of Urology (EAU) has become part of my professional home, it has been a place to learn, grow, collaborate, build friendships and feel part of a community with a shared ambition to move urology forward.
