“I am deeply honoured to have been elected President of the European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR).
ESUR has been part of my professional life for many years – a community where I have learned, taught, collaborated and built friendships across countries and generations. To be entrusted with leading this Society is both a privilege and a responsibility I value enormously.
At its heart, ESUR is about education, collaboration and excellence in clinical practice. Through its educational activities and internationally recognised imaging guidelines, the Society has helped translate expertise and evidence into better, more consistent care for patients.
As I look towards my presidency, I hope we can build on these strong foundations:
- expanding educational opportunities,
- continuing to develop high-quality imaging guidelines,
- strengthening multidisciplinary and international collaboration,
- supporting impactful research and innovation,
- creating opportunities for the next generation of radiologists.
Mentorship will remain particularly close to my heart. One of the greatest rewards of an academic career is seeing those we once taught and mentored become colleagues, collaborators and, in turn, mentors and leaders themselves.
ESUR is a scientific society, but above all it is a community – built on generosity of knowledge, curiosity, friendship and a shared commitment to excellence.
I am very grateful for the trust placed in me and look forward to working with our Board, our members and our wider community as we shape the next chapter of ESUR together.
There is much to learn from one another – and much we can achieve together.”
