But, it is clear to me that not only it is an honor I am humbled to accept, it serves as a beacon to all.
That championing the ideals- that we all deserve to pursue our dreams, access evidence-based healthcare, and be treated with dignity – is essential and valued.
Equity is an American – dare I say, global – quest. This award says to all –

We value you.
We will continue to push the boundaries needed to ensure fairness and to enable you to see that you belong.
