“International call for applications – Build your independent research team in lung cancer!
REWIRE – Rewiring and Imaging the Tumor Microenvironment to Overcome Immunotherapy Resistance in Lung Cancer is seeking an outstanding researcher to establish a new independent research team at the interface of translational oncology, tumour microenvironment biology, and molecular imaging.
Despite major advances in immune checkpoint inhibitors, primary and acquired resistance remain significant challenges in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
REWIRE aims to connect clinical biomarker discovery and mechanistic studies of resistance with functional validation in preclinical models and, where relevant, the development of imaging biomarkers and theranostic approaches, including immunoPET.
The successful candidate will have substantial scientific freedom to define their own research programme, supported by BioMaps’ expertise in molecular imaging, antibody-based imaging, and theranostics.
The selected candidate will be supported in applying to the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale (FRM) ‘Amorçage de jeunes équipes’ programme, offering up to €450,000 over three years to establish a new research team in France.
Applications are particularly welcomed from researchers developing an independent scientific profile in oncology, immunology, tumour biology, or translational research. Previous experience in molecular imaging or radiolabelling is not required.
