“Honoured to be in Cyprus for the first time ever, and humbled to receive University of Nicosia’s Honorary Doctorate last evening.
My heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates — future doctors and health professionals. Your education occurred during the worst pandemic in a century, but that also put you in solidarity with the rest of the world.
When we work together, we can overcome anything.
Equity, solidarity, humanity, and compassion are the qualities that can get us through. And I hope you will carry those values with you throughout your careers and your lives.”
