Surgical oncologists and trainees from Yale Cancer Center attended the 2025 SSO Annual Meeting
Yale Cancer Center shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last week members our surgical oncologists and trainees attended the Society of Surgical Oncology Annual Meeting SSO 2025, presenting research, sharing posters, and meeting colleagues new and old alike.
Samuel Butensky, MD, and Elizabeth Godfrey, MD, both took to the stage as Resident/Fellow Top Poster Presentations, while Princy Gupta, MD, shared an oral presentation highlighting the prevalence of PIK3CA mutations in early onset appendix cancer.
During a symposium session, Kelly Olino, MD, discussed the importance of balancing risk versus reward in patient selection for TIL therapy, based on experience with melanoma, and suggested future directions to improve the treatment platform. Sajid Khan, MD, presented case discussions following presentations on the management of colorectal and liver metastases.
We had a wonderful time at our department of surgery reception, celebrating our colleagues and the research breakthroughs shared, and grateful to meet many new people.”
