Tilly Metz: Negotiations on the Reform of Pharmaceutical Policy in Europe Have Officially Started
Tilly Metz, Member of the European Parliament, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We have finally started negotiations on the reform of pharmaceutical policy in Europe. Long awaited and much needed reform.
As The Greens/EFA in the European Parliament shadow rapporteur on this package, what matters most to me in the negotiations with the Council is to keep in mind why this reform is so important for patients and healthcare systems across the European Union:
Equal access to safe medicines
Meaningful innovation in critical areas and rare diseases
Real solutions to AMR
More transparency in the pharmaceutical sector
I look forward to working with the entire European Parliament team and the upcoming Presidency to deliver an outcome that will be satisfying, first and foremost, for the patients.”
