SESLHD – Breast Screen clinic is now open at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick

Tracey O’Brien, NSW Chief Cancer Officer and CEO at the Cancer Institute NSW, shared a post by South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) on LinkedIn:

”I recently had the great privilege of joining the Breast Screen NSW team in opening their newly refurbished clinic at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick.

Almost 60,000, or 48 per cent of eligible women from South Eastern Sydney are overdue for their two-yearly mammogram, and it’s up to all of us to urge the women in our lives to make breast screening a priority.

I’d like to thank the incredible team at South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD), including Laura Hutchison and Tobi Wilson, for doing their part to drive screening in our community.

Read more on Randwick’s newly refurbished clinic, as well as a recently opened clinic in East Maitland.”

Quoting South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD)‘s post:

”ARE YOU DUE FOR YOUR BREAST SCREEN?

Our beautiful, newly upgraded Breast Screen clinic is now open at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick.

The revamped clinic will enable up to 5,000 additional life-saving free mammogram appointments every year.

Early detection saves lives. Women aged 50 to 74 are eligible for their free 20 minute breast screen every two years.
