PEGylated lipid screening, composition optimization, and structure-activity relationship determination for lipid nanoparticle-mediated mRNA delivery
Jae-Heon Kim, Senior Research Associate at Sanofi, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I am very excited to share that our team’s paper titled “PEGylated lipid screening, composition optimization, and structure-activity relationship determination for lipid nanoparticle-mediated mRNA delivery” has been published in Nanoscale.
LNP formulations typically consist of four lipids: ionizable lipid, phospholipid, sterol, and PEGylated lipids. Each lipid plays a crucial role in achieving effective mRNA delivery to the target cell. Our team conducted an in-depth study on how these lipids influence mRNA delivery.
Several brilliant techniques were used to unravel the complexity of the properties of mRNA delivery, including Laurdan assay, Q-CMD, SAXS, PEG Density, etc.
I am incredibly grateful to my colleagues, managers, and the Sanofi mRNA center of Excellence for this wonderful opportunity.”
