“Ready to coordinate Advisory Board in Basilicata to improve oncology research. The recent establishment of the Advisory Board at IRCCS, Oncology Reference Center of Basilicata, is a significant step toward excellence in oncology research.
This body, appointed by the Institute’s Steering and Verification Council, is chaired by Professor Giuseppe Petrella and counts among its members such prominent figures as Professor Antonio Giordano, director of the Sbarro Health Research Organization in Philadelphia and professor of Anatomy and Pathological Histology at the University of Siena Professor Antonio Giordano himself will coordinate the working table among the agencies and professionals involved.
The Advisory Board will have the task of providing opportunities for CROB researchers, particularly younger ones, to compare notes in order to improve current studies, launch new lines of research and establish scientific collaborations at the national and international level.
Prof. Giordano: ‘Throughout my career, I have always believed in the importance of synergy between research institutions and the need to create bridges between science and clinical innovation. My commitment on this Advisory Board will be aimed precisely at fostering these connections so that scientific discoveries can translate into concrete benefits for patients.’
