Matthew Kurian: Day 2 at SABCS was one for the books
Matthew Kurian, Assistant Professor of medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Day 2 at San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium was one for the books!
Very interesting practice changing trials such as EMBER-3 by Komal Jhaveri challenge our current understanding of the standard of care in HR+ breast cancer and show how we can overcome resistance in ESR1m but also wild type patients!
Met with many companies trying to partner to bring more clinical trials to St. Elizabeth Healthcare that will help our patients in rural Kentucky and also exploring new AI technologies that may aid in better and more accurate diagnoses.
Meeting with a mentor and a friend Jame Abraham, M.D. FACP who always offers great career and life advice for me, Arya Roy, and Jasmin Hundal as we begin our careers and remains one of the most humble folks I know.
Ending the night with helping co-moderate with The Oncology Brothers- Rahul Gosain, MD, MBA and Rohit Gosain, MD regarding questions that myself and other community oncologists have day to day. Fantastic discussion with thought leaders and experts- Stephanie Graff, MD, FACP, FASCO, Giuseppe Curigliano, Laura Huppert, Sarah Sammons MD, and many others!
And ending the night with other great new and old colleagues and friends!
Ready for day 3!”
