Detecting lung cancer earlier can greatly improve patient outcomes – Lung Cancer Policy Network
Lung Cancer Policy Network posted the following on LinkedIn:
“Join us in November, which is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, for a webinar examining opportunities to improve early-detection strategies for lung cancer across different settings.
We will be joined by a global panel of experts who will share their unique insights into implementing screening strategies across different health systems and national contexts, as well as how they overcame the challenges encountered along the way.
While the evidence is clear that detecting lung cancer earlier can greatly improve patient outcomes, huge barriers still stand in the way of implementing comprehensive plans to achieve this. Building on our report published last year, ‘Increasing the earlier detection of lung cancer: a toolbox for change,’ the webinar will consider the actions needed to support health system leaders and decision-makers in establishing effective early-detection strategies. We will also examine the steps that can be taken to ensure strategies are optimised to the unique circumstances of each regional context.
