Joe El Khoury: Lessons from a palliative care workshop in Senegal
Joe El Khoury, Head of Department of the Palliative Care Center at Public Hospital Center of Hauteville, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Stepping off the plane in Dakar, I was greeted by two things: a wave of warmth – both from the Senegalese sun and the radiant smiles of everyone I encountered – and a kaleidoscope of bright colors from people’s vibrant clothing.
The air buzzed with energy and hospitality. From the offers of bissap (a local beverage made of brewed hibiscus) to the lively conversations, it was clear that Senegal is a place where community and connection thrive.
My piece on our Senegal workshop was just published in ASCO Connection!”
