Jemma Arakelyan: Sudan holds tremendous potential to become a hub for cancer care and research in Africa
Jemma Arakelyan, Chief Executive Officer at The Institute of Cancer and Crisis, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“So far I met two incredible individuals from Sudan who left a lasting impact on me. Their kindness and dedication were inspiring, reminding me of the power of human connections. First person I met is my dear friend and colleague, Samah Alfadul who is a passionate researcher and one of the strongest women I ever met.
I was also fortunate to meet and very recently interview Dr. Nazik Hammad whose work as a humanitarian doctor amazed me. Her dedication to improving lives is truly remarkable.
Sudan holds tremendous potential to become a hub for cancer care and research in Africa. Our hope is that Sudan finds peace, allowing it to reclaim its position as a leading force in the fight against cancer.
To Dr. Hammad, Samah and all the kind souls in Sudan, thank you. Your compassion and unwavering spirit are an inspiration to us all.”
