
Jeff Dunn AO reappointed as the PCFA and University of Southern Queensland Chair in Cancer Survivorship

“Congratulations to PCFA’s Chief of Mission and Head of Research Professor Jeff Dunn AO on being reappointed as the PCFA and University of Southern Queensland Chair in Cancer Survivorship.
The appointment coincides with a three-year deal that will see UniSQ support the implementation and monitoring of the new Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Early Detection of Prostate Cancer.
The $300,000 funding agreement continues the work of the UniSQ Centre for Research Excellence in Cancer Survivorship. PCFA Chairman Adjunct Associate Professor Steve Callister AM, congratulated Professor Dunn on his reappointment to the prestigious role.
“As both a researcher and a World Cancer Leader, Jeff is uniquely positioned to drive the work underway in the Centre for Research Excellence,” he said.
“The partnership project is expected to help transform the way we deliver cancer care in Australia and internationally.”
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, accounting for 15 per cent of all cancers and more hospitalisations than any other form of cancer. Investment in research holds the key to reaching our goal of zero deaths.
