€1 Million Innovation Grant Awarded to Joshua Waterfall for Pediatric Cancer Research – KickCancer

“GRAND ANNOUNCEMENT.
We granted our second AT FIGHT KIDS CANCER and St. Baldrick’s Foundation INNOVATION GRANT AWARD worth one million euros to Josh Waterfall (PhD). He is an INSERM researcher at the Curie Institute (Paris).
Joshua’s team studies how the immune system recognises and responds to cancer. They work closely with experts in genetics, immunology, and medicine to develop new tools that help them understand these processes.
Starting from real patient cases, their aim is to discover new insights that can quickly lead to better therapies. Recently they have been specifically focusing on high resolution single cell analyses and the discovery of new targets for cancer immunotherapy.
Congratulations!
The funding will be split over the course of four years. There is simply no better way to support scientific creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to foster new scientific hypothesis with the hope for a brighter future for children with cancer.
