Fabio Ynoe de Moraes: A Congress That Showcased the Power of Science and Human Connections
Fabio Ynoe de Moraes, Associate Professor at Queen’s University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“27th Congress of the Brazilian Society of Radiotherapy. July 30, 2025 — August 2, 2025 — A congress that showcased the power of science and human connections
Participating in the Scientific Committee of the SBRT 2025 Congress was a remarkable experience. Thank you Gustavo Nader Marta and the entire committee for the invitation and trust!
Throughout these days, I had the privilege of contributing by teaching classes and discussions on:
- Artificial Intelligence in Oncology — exploring how algorithms and big data can support more accurate and personalized clinical decisions.
- High-Impact Scientific Research — strategies to transform good ideas into robust, practice-changing evidence.
- Modern Management of Brain Metastases — discussing the role of precision therapies and advanced radiotherapy techniques.
- Lung Cancer Treatment — integration of new drugs, biomarkers, and technologies for better outcomes.
But more than sharing knowledge, this congress was a powerful reminder that science is made of people.
It was inspiring to meet long-time colleagues, meet brilliant new minds, and exchange experiences with world leaders who are shaping the future of oncology.
I leave with the certainty that Brazilian oncology is advancing solidly, combining technical excellence, innovation and, above all, commitment to the patient. Science is not a solitary job — it flourishes when we build bridges, join efforts, and keep an open mind to learn from others.
I am immensely grateful to the organization, to my colleagues on the committee and to everyone who made this congress a living space for learning and collaboration.
May the next meetings come, new ideas and more opportunities to transform knowledge into real care.”
