9th Annual Conference of ELLOK – “Person Centered Care: From Planning to Implementation”

The Hellenic Cancer Federation (ELLOK) announces its 9th Annual Conference, which will take place on February 3, 4, and 5, 2025, at the Wyndham Grand Athens Hotel in Athens, Greece.

This significant event of ELLOK is held annually in honor of World Cancer Day on February 4 and is part of the international campaign “United by Unique” led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).

At a time of rapid developments and transformation in cancer care in Greece, the 9th ELLOK Conference will serve as a platform for dialogue and policymaking to create a higher-quality and more efficient healthcare system.

Distinguished Speakers – Key Discussions

The Greek Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, the Deputy Minister of Health, Marios Themistocleous, the Alternate Minister of Health, Irene Agapidaki, and General Secretaries from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Development, and Ministry of National Economy and Finance will honor the conference with their presence.

Additionally, the President of IDIKA (e-Governance Center for Social Security), Ioannis Karagiannis, and the CEO of IDIKA, Niki Tsouma, will also participate.

The conference will feature renowned international and Greek stakeholders, including João Breda, Eduardo Pisani, Cary Adams, and Andreas Charalambous.

Through presentations, panel discussions, and study reports, leading scientists, policymakers, academics, healthcare professionals, representatives from the pharmaceutical industry, and patient advocacy groups will contribute to a meaningful dialogue aimed at shaping solutions that will improve cancer care in Greece.

The Hellenic Cancer Federation – ELLOK is the national umbrella organization representing cancer patient associations across Greece. Currently, with 50 member cancer patient associations from all over the country, ELLOK serves as the unified voice of oncology patient organizations in Greece.
