“It was a pleasure to be invited to the Youth Cancer Europe’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Forum today in the beautiful Brussels. Exceptionally driven group of people shared insights from social research and ongoing projects that will hopefully serve as a strong foundation for action to close the care gap.

Whether a refugee or a racial/social minority, regardless of their socieconomic status, access to healthcare should not be conditional or negotiable. It is a basic human right, and I hope in the near future we won’t need this type of advocacy. But now we do. And a lot.
