“Recently, The Network’s Public Policy team, in collaboration with Texas Oncology, led nearly 90 physicians and advocates to the Texas State Capitol to meet with legislators. Their mission: to advance policies that make cancer care more affordable, accessible, and patient-centered.

Through our collective advocacy, we amplify the voices of community oncology and their patients – focusing on:

Ensuring patient choice and timely access to safe care by addressing prior authorizations, step therapy, and patient steerage
Expanding access and prevention through telemedicine, cancer screenings, and genetic counseling
Supporting initiatives that enhance quality of life and address the physical and emotional impacts of cancer

A highlight of the event was honoring Debra Patt, Medical Director of Public Policy at The Network, with the inaugural Physician Advocacy Champion Award – recognizing her outstanding commitment to engaging policymakers on behalf of community oncology.
