Bilal Awad, Communication Working Group Member at European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS), shared the following insightful post on LinkedIn a recent paper published in BMC:
“I’m pleased to share the publication of my research titled:
‘Knowledge, attitudes, and self-efficacy regarding palliative care among Palestinian nurses in intensive care units’
in the peer-reviewed journal BMC Nursing, indexed in Scopus and ranked in Q1 in the field of Nursing and Palliative Care. This research highlights the importance of enhancing ICU nurses’ knowledge, shifting their attitudes, and empowering their self-efficacy towards palliative care, given its significant impact on the quality of life for patients with life-threatening conditions.
The findings reveal an urgent need to integrate palliative care concepts into nursing education and training programs and to provide the necessary support for nurses to deliver compassionate, holistic care that meets patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs.
May this research be a sincere contribution towards improving the quality of healthcare in our country and around the world.
To read and cite the paper.”
