Bernard A. Fox: Three goals I have followed for the last 31 years

“Congratulations to Dr. Shushan Hovsepyan being named Editor in Chief of the OncoDaily Medical Journal. Dr. Hovsepyan is also the Innovation and Development Director of The Immune Oncology Research Institute (IMMONC)
I am just learning about IMMONC.
But three of their goals are the same ones I adopted from my time at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and I have followed for the last 31 years at Earle A. Chiles Research Institute.
My goals:
1) Do good basic research
2) Translate that research to patients
3) train the next generation of physicians and scientist
Three of their IMMONC Goals:
• To advance cancer knowledge and care through breakthrough scientific research
• To integrate innovative immune-oncology therapies into clinical practice for different types of cancers
• To train the next generation of leading cancer researchers.
Congrats to the founders of IMMONC, Drs. Gevorg Tamamyan, Samvel Bardakhchyan and Astghik Voskanyan, on developing this Research Institute.”
