Anirban Maitra, Professor of Pathology and Translational Molecular Pathology at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, posted on X:

“Proof of principle study from Vogelstein et al in Cancer Discovery showing that in 4 of 6 patients with pre-diagnostic blood samples available 3-3.5 years prior to manifest cancer diagnosis, very low level mutations were detectable in the blood.”
