Nirmala Bhoo Pathy: More students are welcome for Master of Epidemiology Program
Nirmala Bhoo Pathy shared a post by Public Health at University of Malaya, on LinkedIn, adding:
“Leading the development of the Master of Epidemiology program at the University of Malaya was a journey filled with blood, sweat, and (happy) tears.
After passing the baton to Mas Ayu Said, who is now the coordinator, I am incredibly proud to see our hard work bear fruit. Efizuliana Shaharuddin, our very first student, has shown with distinction that she’s well-trained, and well supervised too!
When Adeeba Kamarulzaman who was instrumental in pushing for the development of the program in University of Malaya messaged me with congratulations, I was truly honored and deeply touched. Thank you for the recognition and for believing in us.
By the way, the real intention of this post is to welcome more students to our program. After all, we’ve proven that we can deliver excellence.”
Quoting Public Health at University of Malaya’s post:
“Celebrating Our Master of Epidemiology Program and Efi’s Achievement
We launched our Master of Epidemiology program just two years ago at the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, University of Malaya. Our program is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge to address public health challenges through rigorous training in epidemiological methods and research.
Efizuliana Shaharuddin (Efi), our very first student, has already made us incredibly proud. Hearing that she won the merit award for the best abstract at the inaugural National Cancer Congress is music to our ears!
We are immensely proud of her accomplishments. Her outstanding achievement vividly showcases the quality and rigor of our program.
Adding to this momentous occasion, receiving a personal congratulatory message from Adeeba Kamarulzaman, commending us for our excellent training program, makes this victory even sweeter. It’s a true testament to the hard work and dedication we’ve invested. What a win!”
