“As previously announced, I am organizing a High-Level Conference on Ending Financial Discrimination Against Cancer Survivors which will take place in Brussels on 15 February 2024. This conference will be the opportunity to raise awareness once again about an issue that affects many cancer survivors: financial discrimination.

The aim of the conference will be to bring attention to the difficulties that survivors face and to encourage policymakers to act. In this context, I am looking for individuals who have been denied a loan, a mortgage, or insurance or asked to pay prohibitively high premiums for those services because of their medical history.

Do you recognize yourself in this description? If so, I would like to invite you to speak at the conference and share your experience with EU and national policymakers to entice them to act and protect cancer survivors. Your personal experience holds the potential to instigate change and foster crucial reforms.
