Jasmine Kamboj: We Need to Oppose Any Legislation that Would Reduce Federal Support for Medicaid
Jasmine Kamboj, Community Oncologist and Hematologist at Mayo Clinic and Podcast Editor and Host of the ‘Empowering Oncologists‘ Podcast at OncoDaily, shared a post on LinkedIn by ASCO, adding:
“Contact your lawmakers and urge them to Protect Medicaid – we need to oppose any legislation that would reduce federal support for the Medicaid program, restrict access or create barriers for cancer patients to receive care…”
Quoting ASCO’s post:
“Congress recently passed a budget resolution that would require significant cuts in federal spending. To meet this budget, Congress is considering cuts to Medicaid funding. More than 70 million Americans rely on Medicaid for access to health care. We need you to take action! Contact your lawmakers and urge them to Protect Medicaid by opposing any legislation that would reduce federal support for the program, restrict access, or create barriers for cancer patients to receive care.”
