“Congratulations to Dr. Shelley Earp, UNC Lineberger Distinguished Professor of Cancer Research, Medicine and Pharmacology, and the V Foundation Scientific Advisory Committee Member, who for almost 40 years has led groundbreaking studies of the EGF Receptor family- identifying clinically actionable targets that lead to an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.
Dr. Earp has served as UNC Lineberger’s Cancer Center director since 2018 and previously held the same position from 1997 to 2014- when I was a postdoctoral fellow at UNC.
There are few who have impacted cancer clinicians, patients, and researchers to the degree Dr. Earp has. I, and many others, owe our professional success to Dr. Earp and his commitment to teaching, service, and research. Thank you Dr. Earp for your continued service to the cancer community – we are all grateful.”
