Wafik S. El-Deiry: Liang Cheng is chairing an AI session at ASCO24

Wafik S. El-Deiry shared a post on LinkedIn:    .

“Great to see my colleague Liang Cheng who is chairing an AI session at ASCO24.

Always great to run into Timothy Burns who was an MD/PhD student in my lab in the late 90’s at the University of Pennsylvania, he’s an Associate Professor at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center working on therapeutic strategies targeting EMT(Emergency Medical Technician) in lung cancer.

Had a good discussion with Dr. Garth Powis regarding collaboration between Burjeel Holdings and the WIN Consortium in cancer personalized medicine after a very successful WIN Symposium we held in Abu Dhabi earlier this year.

Spoke with Pashtoon Kasi about the great work he’s doing impacting the field of liquid biopsy at Weill Cornell Medicine and congratulated him on his Yvonne Award for ‘Challenging the Status Quo’ ASCO24.
