Women With Overweight/Obesity and a History of CVD are 31% More Likely to Develop Breast Cancer – IARC
IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization shared on LinkedIn:
“New paper shows women with overweight/obesity and a history of cardiovascular disease CVD are 31% more likely to develop Breast Cancer than women without overweight/obesity and CVD, and are more likely to develop BC than women with overweight/obesity but no CVD.
These findings suggest preventing obesity among postmenopausal women with CVD may lead to greater reductions in breast cancer incidence compared to the general population.”
