” Reflecting on the ACS Nano Summit 2024

As we look back on ACS Nano Summit hosted by City University of Hong Kong, we’re filled with appreciation for the wealth of knowledge and innovation it brought to the forefront of nanoscience.

This summit is a cornerstone event for the global scientific community, focusing on the latest developments in nanotechnology and its applications. The ACS Nano Summit by ACS Publications serves as a dynamic platform where scientists, researchers, and industry professionals gather to exchange ideas, explore new frontiers in research, and discuss the future implications of nanoscience. It’s a place where collaboration meets inspiration, leading to breakthroughs that shape our understanding of the microscopic world. This time the event brought together these brilliant speakers: Prof. Vivian Yam, Prof. Takao Someya, Prof. Liu Bin, Prof. Weihong Tan, Prof. Chun Kit Kwok, Prof. Peidong Yang, Prof. Rose Amal, Prof. Natalie Artzi, Prof. Chad Mirkin, Prof. Guangyu Zhu, Prof. Zonglong Zhu, Prof. Edwin Chi-Yan TSO, Prof. Yangyang Li, and Prof. Ruquan Ye.

We are proud of Prof. Maria (Masha) Babak, PhD to be one of the speakers for this event. Her workshop “The Gut Factor: Understanding the Impact of Gut Health on Anticancer Drug Efficacy” provided profound insights into the critical role of gut health in enhancing the effectiveness of anticancer therapies, a testament to the Summit’s commitment to advancing medical science.

We are immensely grateful to the City University of Hong Kong for hosting this year’s summit and to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of the ACS Nano Summit 2024. Your dedication to scientific excellence continues to drive progress and inspire future generations of researchers.

And let’s not forget the dinner! After the day’s sessions, the speakers continued the conversation at a more personal level. It was a chance to connect with the minds behind the research in a relaxed, informal setting – truly the cherry on top of an intellectually stimulating summit. To our great surprise, we also had a chance to wish Prof. Chad Mirkin a happy birthday and success in his research endeavors. ”
