Your sadaqah will help children like Imani keep shining – St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital recently shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Children like St. Jude patient Imani are able to celebrate another Ramadan with their family because of the mission of St. Jude, where we treat some of the world’s sickest children regardless of their: race, ethnicity, beliefs, or ability to pay.
At the beginning of Imani’s life, at just 5 weeks old, she developed a cancerous brain tumor. She underwent surgery to remove the majority of the tumor but still a portion of it remained.
“I prayed. I wept. I purchased my baby’s burial plot.” — Khurram, Imani’s dad
Then, her family met with an oncologist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a treatment plan was put into motion. And the treatment worked! The tumor became small enough for another surgery to be performed so that it could be removed entirely. With it gone, Imani became stronger and started to grow bigger. She was able to go home with her family.
Today, Imani, the ray of light that she is, brings so much joy to her family and is able to continue experiencing more birthdays, holidays, and all things that come with life. Your sadaqah will help children like Imani keep shining.”
