Paolo Ascierto: Naples and Italian Oncology Need Role Models Like You
Paolo Ascierto, Director of Department Melanoma at Cancer Immunotherapy and Development Therapeutics, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“In Naples, with my “little sister” Tina Cascone.
Seeing Tina again here at Innovate 2025 was truly special. Born and raised in Naples like me, she is now one of the brightest oncologists in the U.S., and an international leader in lung cancer at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Her talent, dedication, and humanity make a difference every single day. And to me, she’ll always be a little sister to admire, support, and hug with pride.
Thank you, Tina, for coming back to your hometown. Naples — and Italian oncology — need role models like you.
Thank you Hussein Tawbi for capturing this shot.”
