“Gustave Roussy is exporting its model of excellence internationally with its first branded facility in Egypt.
Yesterday, a joint declaration confirming the commitment to collaboration between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the French Republic was signed at the Presidential Palace. This joint declaration was attended by Professor Fabrice Barlesi, CEO of Gustave Roussy and representing Gustave Roussy International, Professor Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Health and Population, and under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Gustave Roussy announced the opening of a Cancer Center in Cairo, Egypt, under the brand license of its subsidiary Gustave Roussy International. This new center is the result of the transformation of the Dar Al-Salam-Hermel Oncology Hospital, now renamed “Gustave Roussy International Egypt.” This ambitious project, carried out in partnership with the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Elevate P.E., aims to make this facility a center of excellence in oncology (care and research) for Egypt and the entire region.
The signing of the brand licensing agreement between Gustave Roussy International and Elevate P.E. took place in the presence of Ms. Catherine Vautrin, Minister of Labor, Health, Solidarity, and Families; Mr. Eric Lombard, Minister of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty; Ms. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Egyptian Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation; and Professor Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population.
Dr. Ahmad Morsy, Managing Director of Gustave Roussy International Egypt, Dr. Tarek Moharram, and Mr. Omar Yasser Abdelkader, representatives of Elevate, along with Professor Fabrice Barlesi and the Gustave Roussy International teams, welcomed the launch of this strategic agreement.
