Raphael E. Cuomo: How evidence from cancer epidemiology can inform personal and population-level strategies to reduce cancer risk
Raphael E. Cuomo, Professor and Scientist at University of California, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I recently joined host Tara Garrison on the Inside Out Health podcast to discuss how evidence from cancer epidemiology can inform personal and population-level strategies to reduce cancer risk.
We covered how health behaviours—particularly diet, physical activity, and tobacco exposure—influence the development of cancer, including the rising incidence of colorectal and breast cancers among younger adults. I also shared insights on the biological mechanisms underlying these associations, and the importance of early screening and prevention efforts.
If you’re interested in the science of prevention and the role individuals can play in reducing cancer risk, I hope you’ll find this episode valuable.
