“Strengthening Patient Safety: A New European Committee for Specialist Nurses” – ESNO
Brussels, 20-03-2025 – Patient safety is the cornerstone of high-quality healthcare, yet as healthcare systems evolve and treatments become more complex, ensuring safety requires a structured, multidisciplinary approach.
Recognizing this urgent need, we are proud to announce the establishment of the European Committee on Patient Safety for Specialist Nurses. This committee will serve as a collaborative platform, bringing together specialist nurses, patient organizations, and key stakeholders to reinforce patient-centered care and uphold the highest standards of healthcare quality.
Aligned with the European Patient Safety Foundation’s principles, this initiative highlights the critical role of specialist nurses in driving safety, preventing harm, and fostering innovation in healthcare delivery. By working together, we can enhance education, strengthen policies, and promote best practices that truly make a difference in patient outcomes.
What’s next?
We foresee a stronger relation with the European Patient Safety Foundation (EUPSF) and stay tuned.
