“Today, in Vienna, SPCC held the Improving Care of Early Breast Cancer (EBC) Patients in Europe Investigators Meeting.
Dr Matti Aapro, SPCC President, and Pietro Presti, SPCC CEO, moderated presentations from the two awarded institutes, which provided an overview of the projects’ outcomes to date:
– European Institute of Oncology (IEO) – Prof Gabriella Pravettoni and Dr Roberto Grasso presented ‘Development and testing of a patient’s decision aid for breast cancer at an early stage: a new tool to promote patient engagement in their healthcare process.’
–LMU University Hospital Munich – Prof Rachel Wuerstlein and Franziska Henze presented ‘Care improvement for early breast cancer patients treated with oral tumour therapy (CarEoTT).’
The session concluded with a projects review and Q and A, fostering in-depth discussions on these ongoing projects.
