“A recent American Cancer Society study published in The Lancet Oncology journal shows that early-onset colorectal cancer incidence rates are rising in 27 of 50 countries/territories worldwide, including the U.S.
As we begin 2025, the Colorectal Cancer Alliance remains steadfast in its mission to end this disease through initiatives focused on raising awareness, screening, patient and family navigation/support, and research funding.

Michael Sapienza is the Chief Executive Officer of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. He served as President and Founder of The Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation from 2010-2015. He was also a Faculty member at the North Carolina Governor’s School and a Fellow at New World Symphony.
