Kashyap Patel: Embracing the essence of my personal journey, encapsulated in moments that have shaped my life
Kashyap Patel, Medical Director of the International Oncology Network, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“As we reflect on the past four decades and bid farewell to 2024, I embrace the essence of my personal journey, encapsulated in moments that have shaped my life.
Each chapter is a testament to the belief that the pursuit of truth is an infinite voyage, where the journey itself holds profound significance. (www.kashyappatel.com)
In the 1980s, I immersed myself in the world of migratory and nomadic tribes in India, residing in roadside tents, and shedding light on their lives through publications, fostering awareness.
Simultaneously, I pursued my medical education, embarking on a transformative path towards becoming a doctor.
Transitioning into the mid-80s, I delved into wildlife preservation through photography, riding alongside fellow doctor colleagues on motorcycles, and evolving into a photojournalist.
Relocating to the UK in 1992, I traversed the landscapes of both the UK and Scotland, embarking on a sailing expedition from the UK to Scotland aboard the 22-foot vessel, Kidsister, a journey underscored by newfound experiences and challenges.
The subsequent move to the US in 1996 marked a pivotal juncture, where I redefined my medical training, harnessing lessons from past endeavors.
Ascending the rungs of leadership, from Chief of Staff at a hospital to assuming roles as President of the South Carolina Oncology Society and the Community Oncology Alliance, advocating for Biosimilars, Value-Based Care, and equitable health care access through legislative efforts.
The tumultuous events of 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic served as a catalyst for introspection.
Engrossed in extensive research, collaborative endeavors, and advocating for healthcare reform, I delved into addressing disparities, fostering partnerships with key stakeholders, and spearheading initiatives such as NOLA.
As I navigate the final phase of life, the pursuit of truth remains my guiding principle, embodying a state of Non-Judgmental Witnessing Mode in the pursuit of eternal contentment and blissfulness in non-judgemental kind witnessing mode.”
