“A Festive Message from ELPA president Marko Korenjak.
As 2024 comes to an end, the European Liver Patients’ Association (ELPA) reflects on a year filled with impact, progress, and hope.
We extend our warmest gratitude to our incredible community—members, friends, partners, stakeholders, policymakers, and corporate allies.
Together, we’ve advanced the cause of liver health and supported patients worldwide.
2024 has been a year of incredible achievements:
- Empowering communities through awareness of liver health and reducing stigma.
- Driving universal liver screening programs to enable early detection and save lives.
- Strengthening the fight against liver cancer, one of the most preventable cancers.
- Collaborating with policymakers to address key risk factors: alcohol-related liver disease, hepatitis, MASLD/MASH, and rare liver diseases.
At ELPA, our vision is bold and unwavering:
- To eliminate liver cancer as a global and European threat.
- To make liver disease prevention a universal reality.
- To bring innovative solutions, empowering patients and ensuring no one is left behind.
As we look toward 2025, we are inspired and energized to:
- Amplify awareness of the importance of liver health.
- Advocate for universal screening programs and preventive measures.
- Forge partnerships and strategies to tackle the most pressing liver health challenges.
This holiday season, let us unite around a common mission:
- To spread the gift of awareness, action, and health.
- To transform lives through advocacy, prevention, and compassion.
Every effort we make together—whether big or small—brings us closer to a world where liver diseases are no longer a silent epidemic.
Prevention is the key, and together, we hold that key.
The future is bright, and we are ready to make it happen.
Your unwavering support fuels our mission and strengthens our resolve. Let’s make 2025 a year of groundbreaking success for liver health and the patient community.
From all of us at ELPA, we wish you joy, peace, and health this holiday season and beyond. Together, we are stronger. Together, we can achieve the extraordinary.
Together, we are ELPA. Together, we are stronger.”
