Diana Romero: This is one of the most important things I learned when I was younger
Diana Romero, Chief Editor at Nature Research, shared a post by Leadership: Empowering Teamwork on LinkedIn, adding the following:
“This is one of the most important things I learned when I was younger and starting to navigate ‘adult’ professional life as a researcher. I’ve now understood that it applies everywhere and it’s one of the things I tell my teenage kids to never forget.”
Quoting Leadership: Empowering Teamwork’s post:
“Never underestimate the power of kindness. How you treat others says more about your character than any accomplishment ever will. It’s easy to be frustrated or take out your emotions on someone, but true strength lies in showing respect and compassion, even in tough moments. You never know what someone is going through, and your actions can either lift them up or push them down. Choose to lift. The way you treat others is a reflection of the way you value yourself—so always act with integrity and heart.”
