Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: Advancing Primary Healthcare Across Africa

Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, UICC President-Elect of 2024-2026, Founder and CEO of the Medicaid Cancer Foundation, shared on LinkedIn:

“The Africa Primary Health Care Forum (APHCF) 2026, hosted by ABC Health and the West African Institute of Public Health under the theme ‘Frontiers in Primary Health Care: Technology, NCDs, Nutrition and Sustainable Financing for Resilience,’ brought together stakeholders committed to strengthening primary healthcare across Africa.

It was an honour to be invited by ABC Health as a Keynote Speaker, where I spoke on ‘Scaling Resilient Primary Health Care in Africa through Strategic Public-Private Partnerships, Digital Innovation and Sustainable Financing.’ I highlighted the importance of government leadership, strategic partnerships, and sustainable financing in advancing resilient primary healthcare systems, in line with Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The programme featured presentations, scientific sessions, panel discussions, and fireside chats on key issues shaping the future of primary healthcare in Africa.

My sincere appreciation to ABCHealth, especially Mories Atoki (FAPH, FSPIN), Chief Executive Officer and her team, for the invitation and for convening such an impactful forum.”
