Zachary Schroeder: Who Is Working to Close the Rural Cancer Care Gap at ROC ’27?

Zachary Schroeder, Founder of the Rural Cancer Institute Resident Physician at Wake Forest Baptist Internal Medicine, shared on LinkedIn:

“I’m excited to share that I’ll be speaking at the 2027 Rural Oncology Conference (ROC ’27) in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on April 30 – May 1, 2027!

As a cancer survivor, physician, and co – founder of the Rural Cancer Institute, improving access to high – quality cancer care in rural communities is a mission that is deeply personal to me.

What started as a vision to bring together individuals passionate about rural cancer care has grown into an incredible community of clinicians, researchers, advocates, and leaders working to close the rural cancer gap.

I’m grateful to be part of the planning committee and look forward to sharing ideas, learning from others, and continuing the conversations that can lead to meaningful change for rural patients and their communities.

Mark your calendars for April 30 – May 1, 2027!

I hope to see many familiar and new faces in Chapel Hill!

Learn more.”
