“I am thrilled to share that I have successfully completed a 4-week Inpatient Solid Tumor Oncology elective at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus!
Throughout January, I had the privilege of being an integral part of the primary medical team. This hands-on experience was invaluable, allowing me to take direct responsibility for patient care and providing me with a deep, firsthand understanding of the U.S. healthcare system.
Beyond the wards, I had the chance to spend some incredibly productive time in the outpatient setting as well. It was a pleasure to work with Professor Shilpa Gupta, focusing on genitourinary oncology patients; I am deeply grateful to her for the clinical insights and for her instrumental help in navigating the process of arranging this elective. I also had the privilege of seeing thoracic oncology patients alongside Professor Khaled Hassan, whose expertise and mentorship in the clinic were truly inspiring.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Professor Yüksel Ürün. This incredible experience truly would not have been possible without his guidance and invaluable contributions to my professional journey.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to share that I’ll be staying at Cleveland Clinic for the coming months to continue my rotations in Endocrine Surgery and Gastroenterology (GI).
