Yomna Omara: Honored to Join the American Cancer Society at the World Cancer Leaders’ Summit 2025

Yomna Omara, Surgical Oncology Specialist and Patient Navigation Program Manager at Baheya Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:

”I had the distinct honor and pleasure of joining the American Cancer Society (ACS) for a session on patient navigation at the World Cancer Leaders’ Summit 2025 in Melbourne Australia where 400 healthcare leaders gathered to bridge divides and build future!

The focus was on our collaborative efforts to break down barriers to cancer care for patients across the globe.

It was a great opportunity to share how we’re implementing this work through the Baheya Patient Navigation Program. The discussion was incredibly productive and genuinely exciting. Learning about navigation programs from around the world reinforced how vital this work is, and I was thrilled to connect with others who we can help in starting their own programs!

My deepest gratitude goes to the American Cancer Society for inviting Baheya Foundation to showcase our work alongside Dr. Uchechukwu Emmanuel Nwokwu, Raymond Chan, Kristie McComb, Anu Agrawal! We value our partnership immensely and are eager for continued collaboration and aside from that our amazing friendship. It was a great honor to have Dr Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu do the closing for the session conluding the importance, the benefit and the impact patient Navigation have on the patient’s journey.

Here’s to finding innovative ways to drive these initiatives forward!”
